Cake smash / birthday sessions

Woohoo! You made it through their first crazy year or yet another trip around the sun! Celebrate in style with a themed cake smash photography session. See their delight (or horror!) as they squish their fingers & toes into a cake!

Don’t like the idea of so much sugar or mess? We can skip the cake or have fruit, pizza, pasta, steak or anything else that takes their fancy instead.

  • Wanting a Facebook preview to share on their birthday? Please choose a date at least 5 days prior to their birthday.

    Wanting the full gallery before their birthday? Please book a date at least 3 weeks earlier than their birthday.

  • Important note:

    I do not provide the cake due to risk of food allergies. You will need to arrange a cake for the session (if cake smash).

    You are welcome to arrange to have your cake delivered directly to my studio - please just ask your baker to contact me to arrange a suitable time.

    • Birthday child only

    • One theme with pre-cake, cake smash & bath images taken

    • Maximum 2 outfits (some themed outfits available for use - size dependent)

    • 15 digital images of your choice

      * Cake not included.

    • Plain dark grey studio background only

    • Parents & siblings of birthday child only included (max. 6 pax due to space)

    • 4 digital images from this component.

    • Up to 60 minutes session duration

    • Birthday child only

    • Two themes with pre-cake, cake smash & bath images taken

    • Maximum three outfits (some themed outfits available for use - size dependent)

    • 20 digital images of your choice

  • Outdoor cake smash and family session

    • 60 minute session duration (includes set up for cake smash)

    • Outdoor location within 40km of Darwin

    • Family, cake smash & bubble bath images

    • Provision of basic props for cake smash - ie, crates, flowers, bird cages, one sign, cake board, standard balloons

    • Provision of bubble bath props (see gallery for example images)

    • 25 digital images of your choice

    ** cake, outfits and elaborate props (including helium balloons) not included in session price.
